Glvil and Ënvlronmsnttl Coneuttlng and üeslgn RE July 19,2017 Mr. Andy Schwaller Garfield County Planning 108 8th Street, Suite 401 Glenwood Springs, CO 81601 Review of Sanitary Sewer Connection to Septic Tank for Mine Drop Building at Caverns Adventure Park Dear Andy The purpose of this correspondence is to confirm the construction of the sanitary sewer lateral for the Mine Drop building at the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. On Tuesday, July 19,2017 construction was reviewecl and the oonnection into the septic tank was installed per the design. The sewer ejector was tested and appeared to be operating as designed. It is our understanding that the capacity of the sewer system (designed by others) for the Caverns is based on maximum visitors to the park rather than a fixture count. The Mine Drop building provides visitors an additional attraction but does not increase the maximum visitors. No veriflrcation of the sewer capacity was performed. In the professional opinion of Chris Hale, as a professional engineer licensed in the State of Colorado, #35964, and a representative of Mountain Cross Engineering, Inc, it appeared to be installed per the plans prepared by Mountain Cross Engineering, Inc. The conclusions and opinions that are expressed above are based on the information available at the time of preparation of this letter. Any additional information presented afterward may require that these opinions be modified. Feel free to call if any of the above needs clarification or if you have any questions or comments.
