Box 1496 Basalt, Colorado 81621 dant: fricIconstruct ion.com Office Locations: Parker, Glenwood Springs, and Silverthorne, Colorado Project No. 16-7-585.01 Subject: Observation of Trench Drain Installation, McNulty Residence, 420 County Road 122, Garfield County, Colorado Dear Mr. Friel: As requested, a representative of H-P/Kumar observed the trench drain construction at the subject site on July 21, 2017 to document the drain installation. We previously observed the wet crawlspace of the new residence at the site and presented our findings in a report dated June 28, 2017, Project No. 16-7-585.01. The trench was being excavated about 6 feet away from the residence to a depth of about 21/2 to 4 feet below ground surface and about 2 feet wide. The drain installation was in progress and consisted of filter fabric on the trench sides and bottom and 4 -inch diameter rigid perforated PVC pipe placed at the bottom of the screened gravel filled trench. The constructed drain will be capped with about 2 feet of onsite soils. The trench bottom was estimated at being about 1/2 foot below top of footing. The depth of trench was controlled by the outlet into a grass meadow to the southwest of the residence at a pipe slope of t/z%. The trench excavation and crawlspace were dry at the time of our site visit. The drain construction methods are consistent with our recommendations. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please call our office. Sincerely, H-PKUMAR 1... Y r F '66 Steven L. Pawl SLP/kac
