Chad:
I am in process of reviewing plans for your new residence up in Oak Meadows, and there are a couple of items we need
to have addressed before we can issue the building permit:
• Soils Report — Can you please forward on to me a digital copy of the soils report referenced on the structural
engineer's plans? This report was completed by HP Geotech on 5/30/14 (Report No. 114-160A)
• Architectural Drawings at 24" x 36" Size — I spoke with Mark McClain yesterday about our need for full-size 24"
x 36" drawings to match the size of the structural drawings and he said that he would contact you about this.
Our requirement is for a couple of reasons: (a) we need to be able to scale these drawings, and the 11" x 17"
size drawings aren't to scale; and (b) the 11" x 17" size drawings aren't large enough to be easily legible and
don't allow for any redlines from our office to be affixed to them. If you could please provide us with (2) full-size
24" x 36" size sets of the architectural drawings we will affix them to the structural drawings, and if you can
provide these to our office before noon today we should be able to finalize our plan review and provide you
with a building permit by the end of the day.
Thanks for your assistance with these items.

Thanks for clarifying ... for purposes of building permit issuance, we'll consider it finished space & then if you decide to
leave it unfinished towards the end of construction, we can properly note that on the Certificate of Occupancy.

Hi Dave, we included a finished basement in our square footage. We may or may not finish it right away tho.

In reviewing your proposed plans today, I have one additional question for you:
Is it your intent for the lowest level of your new home to be finished out, or is it to be considered as
"unfinished basement" space?
If you can let me know what your intent is on this item, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
