Standard bay lengths are 20 feet and 25 feet; other bay lengths available upon request. 2. Lateral stability of column is to be provided by sidewall girls or equiva- lent lateral bracing. 3. Standard design loads: a. Design loads shall be specified by a two -digit numerical designation. b. The first digit denotes magnitude of roof live load. The second digit denotes the magnitude of the wind load. c. Mesco standard design loads are 34, 45 & 64. Tributary Loaded Live Live Load Roof Area Load Designation Slope Sq. Structural Systems for Every Requirement Mesco offers a wide variety of standard building designs from which you may choose to ac- commodate your requirements. In addition to the unequaled design qualities of a Mesco building a variety of options are available from Mesco to enhance the appearance and flexibility of your building. Mesco building systems also allow for the selection and use of an unlimited variety of building materials such as wood, masonry, precast concrete, etc. Mesco UBM and PBM buildings are designed for economy irk small to medium size commer- cial and industrial applications. Flush -framed wall girts, straight columns and the unit beam rafter allow the use of flush ceilings and wall interiors. Ideal for use as offices, retail stores and institutional facilities. Tapered columns and rafters, for the most efficient use of design is high strength steels, identify Mesco's HRF and LRF lines. Un- obstructed interiors with a low profile (LRF), or high clearance (HRF) rooflines make these structural systerns desirable for many industrial and commercial buildings. Mesco HRF and LRF building systems are currently being used in manufacturing plants, retail stores, ware- houses, agricultural buildings and aircraft hangars. `ROOF SLOPE 1: 12/ Heigh110, f2, 14, 16, 18, 20 tt. As the requirement for building width increases, the use of interior columns may provide cost savings or augment the building's functional uses. Thus, Mesco offers the PBF building series. This post and beam structural system is particularly efficient in building widths greater than 70 feet. Large manufactur- ing and warehouse operations are well suited to this type structural system. To accon'lmodate your special design requirements, Mesco can also produce build- ings with non-standard dimensions and special loading requirements such as cranes or other auxiliary loads. Mesco's "in-house" computer facilities allow special engineered buildings to . be processed both efficiently and economically. Mesco buildings are available with design loads suitable for a broad variety of climatic con- ditions.
