In order to understand the scope of the work intended under a permit
application and expedite the issuance of a permit it is important that
complete information be provided. Adequate and complete information will
prevent delays in the plan review process. Reviewing a plan and the
discovery that required information has not been provided by the applicant
may result in the delay of the permit issuance and in proceeding with
building construction. The owner or contractor may be required to provide
this information before the plan review may proceed. This causes delays
because other plans that are in line for review may be given attention before
the new information may be reviewed after it has been provided to the
Building Department.
Please review this document to determine if you have enough
information to design your project and provide adequate information to
facilitate a plan review. If you do not, it may be helpful to obtain a book
titled "Dwelling construction under the Uniform Building Code. This
book is available to you through this department at our cost. Also,
please consider using a design professional for assistance in your
design and a construction professional for construction of your project.
To provide for a more understandable plan in order to determine
compliance with the building, plumbing and mechanical codes, applicants
are requested to review the following check list prior to and during design.

I am providing this letter to serve as an inspection report outlining the observations made by
SGM and certifying the installation of reinforcing according to SGM drawings (Job #92172)
for the Quality Control Addition for Western Mobile.
On September 21, 1995, SGM performed an on-site inspection at the request of K. R.
Weatherly of Western Mobile to certify that the installation of the reinforcing, subgrade
preparation and construction techniques are consistent with requirements outlined in SGM's
plans and specifications for the job of the same.
Based upon our observations made in the field, TJ Construction is performing the concrete
subwork and has to date performed the work in accordance with SGM plans and
specifications.

RE: Western Mobile Quality Control Addition to Maintenance Building
Dear Don:
This letter is to provide you a certification of construction for the Quality Control Building at
Western Mobile. Schmueser Gordon Meyer provided onsite inspections of the foundation
system (earlier certification by SGM) and now the steel frame work. We are providing this
certification that the construction performed on the building was performed in accordance to
the plans and specifications provided by SGM. With this certification, Western Mobile is
seeking a certificate of occupancy.
Based upon our inspection of February 12, 1996, we noted concerns about exterior grading
and request that a temporary certificate of occupancy be performed until later time when frost
leaves the ground and final grading can be performed. This final grading shall assure that
water runs away from the builidng at a minimum slope of 2% (if paved) and 10% if not paved
for 10 feet.
I hope this letter serves as intended purpose. If you have any questions or comments or need
