Although roof trusses can be used above the garage, roof framing and bearing conditions on the rear of the new roof (over the new bedroom & stair connection) are not shown. Because of headroom considerations above the new stair roof trusses won't work and, as a result, we need more information about roof framing in this area and how it ties back with the roof trusses above the garage. Since you are having an Engineer prepare a foundation plan, my suggestion is to have them also prepare a roof framing plan to clarify these items. You will also need to make available roof truss shop drawings at the job site for our Building lnspector's review, but we don't require those to be submitted to our office as part of the building permit plans.
