Permit #BLRE-08-17 -4897
Lisa:
After looking over plans for your proposed addition again following our phone conversation yesterday, we will also
require a roof framing plan as well as a foundation plan from an Engineer. Although roof trusses can be used above the
garage, roof framing and bearing conditions on the rear of the new roof (over the new bedroom & stair connection) are
not shown. Because of headroom considerations above the new stair roof trusses won't work and, as a result, we need
more information about roof framing in this area and how it ties back with the roof trusses above the garage.
Since you are having an Engineer prepare a foundation plan, my suggestion is to have them also prepare a roof framing
plan to clarify these items. You will also need to make available roof truss shop drawings at the job site for our Building
lnspector's review, but we don't require those to be submitted to our office as part of the building permit plans.
Please call if you have any questions -
