Box 1758 1256 West 400 South Vernal, Utah 84078 August 16, 2017 Seth McGruder 1851 CR 306 Parachute, CO 81635 Dear Seth: Subject: Foundation Evaluation -1851 CR 306, Parachute, Colorado You provided me a sketch of the foundation system that you have already constructed and intend to use for the support of a wrap-around porch cover addition to your home at 1851 County Road 306 near Parachute, Colorado. The system may be briefly described as 12 -inch diameter concrete -filled sonotube piers spaced a varying intervals around a perimeter that is offset 7'-6" from each of the home's exterior walls. The piers are capped with a concrete patio slab. The sketch you provided is reproduced and titled Foundation Plan in my construction drawing (dated 8/15/2017). Having reviewed the foundation and the Geotechnical Report by Huddleston -Berry (dated 12/20/2016), it is my determination that the foundation as constructed is adequate to support all loads from the proposed porch cover.
