CO 8164 7 Reference: !SOS Permit 5527 County Rd 214 New Castle, CO 81647 To Garfield County Building & Planning Department: This letter serves to inform Garfield County that the repairs for the !SOS for the aforementioned address were performed in compliance with the !SOS of Garfield County and Colorado DPHE !SOS requirements. Attached is a copy of As-built sketches for the system. The existing system required replacement in its entirety due to a damaged effluent outlet down pipe that allowed solids to enter the existing drain field and due to a severely distressed and undersized septic tank. The following parameters were used for determining the system requirements. No. of bedrooms 4 Hydraulic Load per bedroom 150 gpd/bedroom These parameters exceed the actual bedrooms and occupants of the residence. This residence's system includes low-flow fixtures, but does not have a washing machine or garbage disposal in the system and therefore the factors for these features were not included. The system consists of a 1250 gallon tank and 16 infiltrator units in 3 rows installed level. Native material was deemed adequate for backfill, once larger rocks were removed for the bottom 2 ft above the infiltrators. The system utilizes 4" PVC SOR 35. The depths of the infiltrator units were extended to 8' maximum to approximately 5· minimum to achieve the necessary depths and to allow seepage into the free draining strata from surfacing anywhere along the CR 214 bar ditch. The 4h: Iv setback was achievable via the 12' setback from the property line. All other pertinent setbacks were achieved and are shown in the attached sketches. The soil is described as a 6" of topsoil/organics over allu\lal deposits consisting of predominantly silty-sand containing cobbles and boulders to 18" diameter. lhe percolation rates observed varied I" per 9 to 11 minutes. Conservatively. a percolation rate ot 1 ··per 11 minutes was used in determining the number of infiltrators required for this sy.,lem.
