2) System design has been based on three percolation tests performed by T. Carter Page, P.E. of Gamba & Associates, Inc.
on January 19, 2004.
3) The profile hole shown on these plans was excavated in the area between the house and the workshop, in the site
proposed for the septic tank. Moist soils were observed at a depth of 4.5 feet from existing ground. There was standing
water in the hole at a depth of 7 feet below existing ground.
4) Because of the observed high ground water in the proposed area of the absoption trenches, a pumped system will be
required. Fill placed around the absorption field shall extend horizontally a minimum of four (4) times the maximum height of
fill placed over the native ground, and shall be compacted, outside the area of the absorption field, to at least 95°/o of the
maximum density as determined by the Standard Proctor.
5) The septic tank is a 1,000 gallon Copeland concrete tank, which is proposed to double as the pumping chamber. A filter
will be placed around the pump to keep any solids from being injected into the field.
6) All Infiltrator units, septic tank, piping and distribution box shall be installed in strict accordance with the manufacturer's
recommendations, and Garfield County Environmental Health Regulations.
