HomeMy WebLinkAboutCorrespondence Regarding LUCP 04.25.2017April 25, 2017 Alpen Badgett 956 County Road 106 Carbondale, CO 81623 Garfield County Community Development Department RE: Badgett ADU Land Use Change Permit (File No. GAPA-05-16-8458) Dear Alpen: Thank you for the additional documentation you provided on your well pump testing and water quality testing. All of the conditions of approval required prior to issuance of the Land Use Change Permit have been met and the Director of the Community Development Department has signed your Land Use Change Permit. A copy of the permit is attached. The permit has also been provided to the Clerk and Recorder's Office for recording. In your response to your water quality test results and plans to address the presence of coliform bacteria in the test results you indicated that you will disinfect the well and retest the well with the installation of a UV treatment system if necessary. The County will require documentation of completion of these steps prior to issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy for your ADU. A copy of this letter will be provided to the Building Department and you can provide your retesting results directly to them once the disinfection is completed. In your response/plans you provided an outline on how to disinfect a well. It is suggested that you also consult local Colorado resources such as the Division of Water Resources for additional direction on disinfecting private wells.
