Van Rand Park:

Average Daily Flow: ........ 875 gpd
Percolation Rate: ........20 Minutes per inch r
Reduction for Leaching Chambers .......... ............. 35o/o
The existing system design contains two1,500 gallon septic tanks in series;
The septic effluent is pumped to the leachfield with an existing station that will be fitted with a
second pump and control system for a duplex system ("pressure dosed");
The average daily design flow is 875 gallons per day based upon water usage in the Park;
The maximum daily design flow is 1,312 gallons per day;
The total amount of absorption area required is 1,174 square feet;
The reduced absorption area using ADS ARCrM Septic Leaching Chambers in a Trench
configuration is 704 square feet;
Below the chambers is 3-feet of 1% drain rock providing 6 SF per foot of absorption area for a
total sidewall absorption area of 1,080 SF. Two lines will be used with the third line resting (720
SF area);
The total number of chambers required is 36 (use 12 per 60' line).
Therefore, the disposal field shall consist of three lines with twelve (12) infiltrators in each line
(60'-0" length per line), connected to the existing pump station (upgraded to duplex) according
to the attached Site Plan and details.
Sincerely,
Schmu
Robert
