Required inspections to be done by Garfield County include: o footers o foundation walls o grout (to see rebar placement in CMU walls) . underground plumbing installation and pressure test r gâs piping installation and pressure test . rough plumbing installation and pressure tests for DWV and water lines . rough in mechanical installation o lath for stucco o weatherproofing and framing o insulation . drywallattachment o final Not all inspections to be evaluated by the building official are required for all permit types' Additional or multiple inspections of any type are also to be evaluated by the building official and may require additionalfees. Failure of an inspection may require payment of a re-inspection fee of 550.00 to be paid prior to the re-inspection be scheduled. See Sec. R109, 2009 IRC or Sec. 11"0, 2009 IBC for further information. Electrical inspections are to be performed by the State of Colorado and the rough-in must precede the framing inspection and the final must precede the building final. Septic permits require percolation testing for design and final inspection and shall be performed by the design engineer of the system. Aggressive dogs need to be managed during the inspector's visit to a jobsite. A re-inspection fee of S5O.OO may be assessed if the inspector cannot get out of their vehicle due to an aggressive or barking dog. Balconies & decks over 30" high must be builtto all pertinent code requirements including stairs, landings, railings and guardrails (lBC, Sec. 1011, 1"014 and 1015). 4) Finalgrading must be completed such that water slopes away from the building. 5) Exceptions to outside steps, decks, grading may be made upon demonstration of extenuating circumstances (for example, weather). Under such circumstances, a Certificate of Occupancy may be issued conditionally. 6) Final inspection/approval must be completed and submitted from the Garfield County Road & Bridge Department for driveway installation, as well as final sign-offs by the Fire District, State Elevator lnspector and/or other State Agencies when applicable.
