Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) Installation Observations
9404 CR 325
Garfield County, Colorado
Permit Number SEPT-04-18-5200
Karl,
ALL SERVICE septic, LLC observed the installation of the onsite wastewater treatment system (OW TS)
on October 23, 2018 for the subject property. You, the property owner, installed the system.
A new 4-inch diameter SDR-35 sewer line with a double sweep clean out was installed at the new ADU.
A new, 3-inch diameter SDR-35 sewer line was also installed from the existing septic tank to the inlet
side of the new septic tank. You opted for the smaller diameter pipe in this case. The sewer line come
AFTER the existing septic tank serving the main house and therefore the reduced diameter of the sewer
line should not cause a problem.
The installation included a 1000-gallon, two-compartment Valley Precast concrete septic tank with an
Orenco® ProPak and an Orenco® PF3005 pump. Risers bring both side of the septic tank to grade for
access. The inlet tee was present. There is an effluent filter inside the second compartment of the
septic tank. This filter must be cleaned annually, or as needed. The floats were set to dose
approximately 80 gallons each pump cycle, allowing approximately 13 gallons for drain back. The control
panel for the pump is located within line of sight of the septic tank. We tested the pump and alarm via the
floats during our site visit and they were functioning properly. There was no water in the septic tank to set
the pump line up to the distribution box.
A 1.5-inch diameter Schedule 40 pump line was installed from the pump to a new distribution box, located at
a high point above the existing soil treatment area (STA). The distribution box is located near the existing
septic tank serving the main house and risers make the distribution box accessible from grade.
You were in the process of connecting the existing STA to the distribution box at the time of our inspection.
The existing STA is located above the driveway. Inspection ports are present at the end of the STA
trenches.
The OWTS was generally installed according to specifications. This observation is not a guarantee of
workmanship and/or parts and materials. ALL SERVICE septic, LLC should be notified if changes are
made to the OWTS in the future. Any additional OWTS construction must be according to the county
regulations.
LIMITS: Observations are limited to components that are visible at the time of the inspection. The installer must
have documented and demonstrated knowledge of the requirements and regulations of the county in
which they are working. The quality of the installation is dependent of the expertise of the installer, soil
type, and weather conditions.
Please call with questions.
Sincerely,
