Note that the changes in the framing that are discussed as follows do remain consistent with our design intent and we concur with the changes discussed and subsequently made by Renninger Log Homes. Please note the following: 1. Post attachments to concrete: The provided detail was generally consistent with our proposed detail other than the contractor did no provide the "squared" cut to the post at the bottom. What has been provided was to not square the post but to "hide" the bolting by using a longer bolt for the post to knife plate connection. This detail remains consistent and is architecturally superior to what was proposed. 2. The 2x10 treated ledger for the rafter support was not installed at the face of wall. lnstead, the ledger installed was a 1 /o"x9/'" LVL beam that was attached to the tails of the existing outriggers and spans the length from the existing ridge beam to the eve support beams. Thus the ledger not only functions in the 24" span to the outriggers, but also serves as a rafter support beam. This configuration collectively carries the load to both the existing west end wall of the house and spans to the ridge/eaves. With the combined support of both, this detail is acceptable from our perspective. 3. The eave support for the north eave to tie into and be supported by the existing post was revised to have a beam hanger installed for support rather than removing a portion of the existing eave beam. Ihis detail is also acceptable from our perspective. ipt a call with any questions. At the time of our investigation, the contractor had installed the "big foot" footings and sonotube piers per our expectations of our 6/27/78 drawing set for the project. Work that remains is the installation of the 4#5 bar vertical reinforcing members to be installed while they are pouring. We have received a copy of the reinforcing steel and the final photograph of the reinforcing to be installed (ie., stabbed) into the piers/footings at the time of pour. We concur with them moving forward to conduct this work' Upon your rece review, call with any questions llv, Simonso PE, CFM tn GLFNWOOD SPRINGS I lB Wesi Sixth 5t, Suite 200 | Glenwood Springs, CO 8l601 | 970.945.1004 4*i-a ESGM z Cé'LCULATED BY 5 ç GLËNWOOD SPRIN6S I ASPEN I SALTDA I DURANGO I GUNNTSON I GRAND JUNCTTON I MEEKER a!1tt.,i1.l.z'.)t.:i:a..t:'t,., ,.tt,, I - ti.,.¡,:_ !,r.:rrì:r.r, /'t'" Y l^lh,L .tq- 9,Æ69 fu"æ.E &' €'r*ffi rlee l|ê.ttdlr r¿ t' táíVt ¡l&2 *-ç'* r1C u++r *+ þ&" åJÁl d¿r"¡¿-r X Ça(- t4ç i\ ßÇ": )NÈk þ"ffit*y C..',;1, t crr-4 t 4rhåL{!i> {a rî t (ë ¡f\¡E.¡,sl t It 7atltt fu#.ewLuf6*- ¿êQv.\ xln,,rrvg & ';Zt)ta r-¡tL"&Ë,." t¿ /l *+at9 çc xç t \zlr eL ltl*u *o*ç^. rö ç?þ{* *ç & lT-)' çg .*C A l2'( at .
