I understood the French drain to be in place of the apron. The way we shaped the drive, all runoff will run into the French drain and then into the culvert. Can we discuss? To bring your driveway up to code you still need to install an apron off of the county road. You can find specs. On the county website. We talked about the driveway access for his new home he wants to build. There are several issues he has to deal with, but we have come up with a plan that works for both parties. He has agreed to look into what it will take to make the idea work for all parties involved, and to see if it is feasible for him to do so. I am writing this letter to let you know he is working on this and I did not want for this to be an issue with him proceeding with his application for his home.
