Air Monitoring DescriPtion : Phase Con provided AHERA TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy) asbestos final clearance air monitoring services at the project site listed above in Carbondale, Colorado on August 2, 2019. Samples were obtained as per AHERA EPA and Colorado State requirements. A total of thirteen air samples were obtained. Samples were placed and obtained in accordance with EPA AHERA guidelines and analyzed by a NVLAP accredited laboratory, CA Labs of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Laboratory analysis results are provided later in thís document. Comments and Recommendations: TEM anatysis of the final clearance air samples showed na asbestos structures present for any of the samples; therefore, the area may be re-occu n o n -a bate m ent cond itio n s. The samples were analyzed as per EPA AHERA regulations (see MEìHOD below). Thìs report confirms results issued from CA Labs by phone and./or fax. METHOD: The procedure for the AHERA analysis of the samples follows Mandatory Units [I and IV of Appendix A to SüUparr 763. Asbestos Containing Matcrials in Schools; Final Rule and method, utilizing x-ray micro- analysis and selected area electroñ diffraction. CA Labs is accredited try the National Voluntary Labäratory Accreditation program (NVLAP) for selected test methods for airborne fiber analysis (TEM). The test results relate only to the items described and tested herein. Anaiyst' quantification of asbestos concentration may vary by 70 s/mm2 at or above the regulatory limit. Traceability to measurement and calibration is achieveá by using known amounts and types of asbestos from standards where analyst and laboratory accuracy are measured.
