BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF TEST: The ¡naterial is placed inside a vertical cylindrical furnace which 1s
preheated to a prelimi-nary t.emperature of approximately 400ÔC (?52oF) . Based on the results of the
first specimen tested, the furnace thermostat is adjusted when testing subsequent specimens (up or
down) Lo determine the actual temperature at which ignition takes p1ace. This is'rSelf Ignition
Ternperature. "
In determining.'F1ash lgnition Temperature" a gas pi1ôt flame ls added near the top of the furnâce to
ignite off gasses.

DTSGNPilOII
Nova-Shield@ ll FRU88X-6, 4mil (400) is a
heavyweight fabric for applications requiring
flame retardants and UV stability, such as
membrane structures. The scrim is produced in
a special weaving pattern to enhance flatness,
abrasion resistance, and tear properties. The
proprietary coat¡ng is used to enhance abrasion
reslstance, flex resistance, seam strength, UV
resistance and longevity.
