Subject Methamphetamine Clearance Sampling Results
Residential Structure
203 Limberpine Circle
Battlement Mesa, Colorado
DearMr. Miller:
At your request, Grande River Environmental, LLC (GRE) conducted clearance wipe sampling for
methamphetamine cont¿mination identified throughout the residential structure located at203 Limberpine
Circle in Battlement Mesa, Colorado. The contamination was identifïed during a Preliminary Assessment
conducted on January Zg,2019 by GRE. Results of the preliminary assessment were presented in the
Preliminary Assessment report dated February 11,2019 and prepared by GRE-
The residence underwent remediation by CAT Environmental Services LLC of Denver, Colorado, a
certified methamphetamine remediation contractor. Clearance sampling was conducted by GRE on June

public Health and Environment (CDPIIE) regulations for Cl.eanup of Methamphetamine'Affected
properties found at 6 CCR 1014-3. The purpose of this report is to present the fïndings of the clearance
wipe sampling.
Assessment Sampling
Methamphetaminã sampling was completed by Faron Compton, a GRE inspector certified by the CDPI{E
to conduct methamph.tu*inr consulting in Colorado. Copies of the inspector's certifications are attached
to this letter. This survey was performed in accordance with the CDPHE Regulations 6 CCR 1014-3 for
Cleanup of Methamphetamine-Affected Properties governing methamphetamine assessment activities.
Clearance sampling is required following remediation activities within a methamphetamine-affected
property.
Sampling Methods
Samiles of potentially methamphetamine contaminated surfaces were biasedly collected from areas
expected to have the highest likelihood of retaining contamination from the manufacturing and/or usage
of methamphetamine at the property. A fresh pair of disposable gloves were worn during collection of
each set of aliquots to comprise a discreet or composite sample. Disposable templates, tape, andlot
permanent marker were used to delineate the requit.ã too square centimeter (..') sample aliquot areas.
For each sample aliquot, aZ"xZ" gavzepad was moistened with isopropyl alcohol which was immediately
utilized to wipe the inside of the grid area using the square and "S" methods interchangeably between
folds. Each aliquot wipe to be included into the composite sample was immediately placed into the

laboratory provided tube following collection. No more than four aliquots were included into each
composite sample. Following collection of each sample, the cont¿iner tube was sealed, labeled with
permanent marker, and placed into the sample pack. Disposable gloves were then replaced for collection
of the next sample in order to minimize possibility of çross-contamination between samples. One sample
blank was collected for each ten samples and as the last sample collected as part of the assessment.
Chain-of-Custody and Analytical Methods
A ohain-of-custody record for all samples was used to track the possession and transfer of each sample
from the time of freld collection through laboratory analysis. The record contained the following: sample
container fube number, signature of collector, date of collection, identification of sampled material,
requested laboratory analysis, signatures of individuals in custody of the samples, and record of
possession. Copies of the chain-of-custody forms are attached to this report.
Samples were submitted to an independent laboratory for analysis. Collected samples were analyzed by
Reservoirs Environmental Services,Inc. (NWAP Accreditation No. 101896) of Denver, Colorado, using
I\I]OSH Method 9109-M Methamphetamine by Wipes/ Mass Spectrometry. A total of 36 aliquots
combined into nine composite samples and four composite blanks were collected for analysis from the
structure during the four attempted clearance sampling evefits. The laboratory analytical data Íeports are
attached to this report and are summarized in Table 1.

Conclusions & Recommendations
This report presents the results of clearance methamphetamine wipe sampling of the residential structure
locateú at 203 Limberpine Circle in Battlement Mesa, Colorado following remediation of the space.
Contamination was identified throughout the interior of the home and the attic during a Preliminary
Assessment conducted by GF.E on January 29, 2019. The results of the Preliminary Assessment were
presented in a report prepared by GRE and dated February 17,2019. Clearance wipe sampling results
identified remaining methamphetamine concentrations within the interior of the residence to be below the
regulatory limit of a.s ¡tgl" '. Therefore, the remediated surfaces meet the regulatory requirements and
no further action is required.
