AND 2009 INTERNATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION CODE (I.E.C.C.) 2) IMPROVEMENTS ARE SUBJECT TO ALL APPLICABLE ITEMS CONTAINED IN THE ATTACHED "GARFIELD COUNTY BUILDING REQUIREMENTS". NUMBERED REFERENCES AS NOTED ON PLANS REFER TO SPECIFIC ITEMS ON THIS LIST. 3) EVERY SLEEPING ROOM IN A BASEMENT IS REQUIRED TO HAVE AN EXTERIOR EGRESS DOOR OR AN EMERGENCY EGRESS WINDOW COMPLYING WITH I.R.C., SECTION R310 (SEE ITEM #28). *PLEASE NOTE: ROOMS WITH CLOSETS ARE CONSIDERED BY THE BUILDING DEPT. AS "SLEEPING ROOMS". NATURAL LIGHT & VENTILATION REQUIRE- MENTS AS PER SECTION R303 WILL ALSO BE ENFORCED (SEE ITEMS #26 AND #27). 4) THIS BUILDING PERMIT FOR A FINISHED BASEMENT SPECIFICALLY DOES NOT INCLUDE APPROVAL OF BASEMENT AS A SECONDARY OR ACCESSORY DWELLING UNIT. 5) A FULL-SIZE KITCHEN IS NOT ALLOWED AT THE BASEMENT. A WET BAR IS ALLOWED, BUT COUNTERTOP AREA IS LIMITED TO 25 SQUARE FEET MAXIMUM AND THE WET BAR MAY ONLY INCLUDE A SINGLE BAR SINK AND NO STANDARD SIZE KITCHEN APPLIANCES (STOVE, OVEN, DISHWASHER OR FULL-SIZE REFRIGERATOR). 6) VERIFY THAT EXISTING MAIN LEVEL RESIDENCE COMPLIES WITH ITEMS #32 AND #33 FOR CARBON MONOXIDE ALARMS & SMOKE DETECTORS. 7) ELECTRICAL PERMITTING AND INSPECTIONS BY COLORADO STATE ELECTRICAL BOARD. ELECTRICAL ROUGH -IN APPROVAL IS REQUIRED AT FRAME INSPECTION. ELECTRICAL FINAL APPROVAL IS REQUIRED FOR FINAL INSPECTION & CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY.
