We will note the change in the file. Please include a copy of this email attached to the jobsite plans for the inspector when he is inspecting the piers. I am assuming there will be 36 in. of frost cover and the rebar will be similar to that the original plans called out for. In the original permit, we showed using the framed box footing with a 12" Sona -tube on top. We will continue to use the 12" Sona -tube pier on top so the only change is the footing itself. This change effects 4 pier footings on the outside edge of the 8' x 40' shed roof porch overhang that we're adding to our barn and does not affect any of the footings or foundation walls on the adjacent 8' x 40' enclosed addition that is also part of the overall permitted plan. Attached is a pdf of the BF28 Bigfoot footing for your reference. In our conversation, you asked me to send you this email so that you could notate the change in the file and send me confirmation via email. Please feel free to call me with any questions.
