HomeMy WebLinkAboutFinal Acceptance Letter from PH 06.11.2020Garfield County 195 W. 14th Street Rifle, CO 81650 (970) 625-5200 Gary and Amanda Littell 969 County Road 113 Carbondale, CO 81623 Subject: Final OWTS Inspection 969 County Road 113 Carbondale, CO 81623 Final Acceptance Letter OWTS Permit #: SEPT -6221 June 11, 2020 Mr. and Mrs. Littell, Public Health 2014 Blake Avenue Glenwood Springs, CO 81601 (970) 945-6614 On June 2 and June 8, 2020, we visited the Littell Residence at 969 County Road 113 near Carbondale in Garfield County, Colorado to observe the Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) installation pursuant to OWTS Permit # SEPT -6221. At the time of our June 2 site visit, the contractor had installed a 2,000 -gallon two compartment concrete septic tank with a pump in the second chamber and the new sewer line and two cleanouts between the house and the septic tank. The tank was installed level, with access brought to grade. At the time of our June 8 site visit, the contractor had installed the effluent lines, an automatic distribution valve, and two, four row gravelless chamber beds consisting of 32 chambers per bed (64 chambers total). The contractor had opted to use chambers with a larger surface area than originally specified in the design. The change in chambers (both type and number) were approved by Carla Ostberg of CBO, Inc. The change in chambers resulted in the same STA area. In our opinion, this system was installed in general conformance with Garfield County OWTS Regulations. No further action or review from Garfield County Environmental Health is required regarding this permit. Please provide an As -Built drawing of the system, when available, for our files. Edward R.
