Please see my responses to your review comments for the above project:
10.) The building columns and headers are connected to prevent lateral displacement and
uplift.
12.) There is no foundation plate or sill plate. Thecolumns ,���at1Qn to
'/z�i Dia. sockets.
These steel sockets are connected to the existing
adhesive anchors embedded 4-1/2" into the existing concrete.
13.) There will be no caissons.
15.) All lumber will comply.
16.) There is no top plate. The 42' wide building trusses are fastened to the columns by (2)
1" Dia. machine bolts and (8) 60d Ring Shank nails. Any wind uplift will be resisted by the
1" Dia. machine bolts and 60d Ring Shank nails.
20.) There is no enclosed attic space or enclosed roof space. Section R806 of the 2009 IRC
does not apply.
42.) Will comply.
