However, before we can finalize our review & issue a permit for this project, we need for the following items to be addressed: • Soils Report — Although a copy of HP Kumar's soils report was submitted to our office, the version we received has already been marked up to the extent that highlighted portions are illegible. Please submit to our office an un-highlighted (clean) digital version of the soils report. • Structural Fill Requirements —According to the Structural Engineer's specifications a soils bearing capacity of 3,000 PSF was used in design which, according to the soils report by HP Kumar, indicates that a minimum of 36" of over -excavation and subsequent structural fill will be required below the spread footing foundation. However, we cannot find any references to this requirement as stipulated by HP Kumar in the Structural Engineer's plans. Please have your Structural Engineer verify inclusion of this requirement as per the submitted soils report. If the Engineer wants to submit amended drawings or an addendum to clarify this issue, our office will accept either 8 %2" x 11" or 11" x 17" digital PDF drawings and/or specs which illustrate and otherwise document these requirements. After receiving this requested information, we should be able to finalize our plan review rather quickly. Thank you for your assistance with this matter.
