Design Standards Garfield County Resolution 2018-36 GCR Site Investigation Saturday, August 1, 2020, a backhoe excavator was used to dig two 8-foot deep profile holes near the proposed location of the Bishop on -site wastewater treatment system (OWTS) soil treatment area. Graphic logs of both profile holes are shown in the construction drawing for the OWTS. No standing water, nor evidence of previous groundwater level, was encountered in either profile hole. Percolation test locations were also prepared and presoaked on Saturday, August 1, 2020. Percolation test holes were 10" to 12" in diameter and 12" to 13" deep below the presumed infiltrative surface at 2' below ground level. Percolation tests were perfomed on Sunday, August 2, 2020. The percolation test data is tabulated on Sheet 2 of this document. According to a rough plot plan sketch that was provided to the designer and accompanies this document, a water supply line with cistern will provide water to the propose home form the south west. The approximate location of the cistern is noted on the OWTS construction drawing. 50-foot and 100-foot ofset radii for the cystern are also shown on the constuction drawing. According to Google Earth data, the property slopes south -to -north at approximately 12% in the vicinity of the proposed OWTS. OWTS SIZING - bishop.mcdx CIVCO Engineering, Inc.
