Hughes Excavation installed the system. The OWTS design is based on 4-bedrooms. An average daily wastewater flow of 525 GPD was used. A 4-inch diameter SDR-35 sewer line with a double -sweep clean out and minimum 2% fall to the septic tank was installed. The system installation included one 1500-gallon, two -compartment concrete Valley Precast septic tank with an Orenco® ProPak and PF3005 pump in the second compartment. There is a filter in the second compartment of the septic tank. This filter must be cleaned annually, or as needed. The floats were set to dose approximately 70 gallons each pump cycle. The control panel for the pump is located within line of sight of the septic tank. Tradesman Electrical Services (Jim Wirt) wired the pumping system. A 1.5-inch diameter Schedule 40 pump line was installed from the pump to an Orenco® automatic distributing valve (ADV), model 6402. The ADV was placed a high point in the system in an insulated riser with access from grade. Effluent will be pressure dosed through a 1.5-inch diameter pump lines to two beds, each 10' x 33'. A minimum of 3-feet of sand filter material was installed in the over -excavated footprints. Laterals were 1.5-inches in diameter with 5/32-inch diameter orifices facing down, spaced 2-feet on center, installed on the GeoMatTM with the filter fabric over the laterals. Laterals were placed 2-feet from the edges of the bed, with the center lateral 3-feet from the outer laterals. Each 1.5-inch diameter lateral ends in a sweeping ell facing up with a ball valve for flushing. Inspection ports were place on each corner of each bed. The OWTS was generally installed according to specifications. This observation is not a guarantee of workmanship and/or parts and materials. ALL SERVICE septic, LLC should be notified if changes are made to the OWTS in the future. Any additional OWTS construction must be according to the county regulations. LIMITS: Observations are limited to components that are visible at the time of the inspection. The installer must have documented and demonstrated knowledge of the requirements and regulations of the county in which they are working. The quality of the installation is dependent of the expertise of the installer, soil type, and weather conditions. Please call with questions. Do Your Part, Be SepticSmart: The Do's and Don'ts of Your Septic System Learn these simple steps to protect your home, health, environment and property value: septicsmart U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Do: • Have your system inspected (in general) every three years by a licensed contractor and have the tank pumped, when necessary, generally every three to five years. Don't: • Pour cooking grease or oil down the sink or toilet. • Rinse coffee grounds into the sink. • Pour household chemicals down the sink or flush them. Do: • Eliminate or limit the use of a garbage disposal. • Properly dispose of coffee grounds a food. • Put grease in a container to harden before discarding in the trash. Don't: • Flush non -degradable products or chemicals, such as feminine hygiene products, condoms, dental floss, diapers, cigarette butts, cat litter, paper towels, pharmaceuticals. Do: • Dispose of these items in the trash can! Don't: • Park or drive on your drainfield. The weight can damage the drain lines. • Plant trees or shrubs too close to your drainfield, roots can grow into your system and clog it. Do: • Consult a septic service professional to advise you of the proper distance for planting trees and shrubs, depending on your septic tank location. Don't • Concentrate your water use by using your dishwasher, shower, washing machine, and toilet at the same time. All that extra water can really strain your septic system. Do: • Stagger the use of water -generating appliances. This can be helpful especially if your system has not been pumped in a long time. • Become more water efficient by fixing plumbing leaks and consider installing bathroom and kitchen faucet aerators and water -efficient products.
