Kenya:
We have reviewed plans submitted for a new manufactured single-family residence to be located in Silt, but before we
can finalize our review & issue a building permit we need for the following items to be addressed:
A. Snow/Wind Load Requirements — Plans submitted by Champion Homes do not specifically address our
minimum structural requirements for wind speed (115 mph Ultimate speed) and snow loads (40 PSF as
measured at the roof). Please have the Manufacturer provide this information for us to verify.
B. Foundation Plan & Detail(s) — We require that a site specific foundation plan and detail(s) be submitted to our
office for review. Foundation drawings included in Champion's set of plans do not provide enough detail and do
not meet Garfield County's minimum requirements.
Please provide us with the requested information, and in the meantime we will place your permit application in our
"Pending" projects file.
Thank you for your assistance —

Thanks for sending over these updated plans which now do address the wind/snow load requirements.
Also, after looking at the foundation plans again there still isn't enough information provided by the Manufacturer to
meet our minimum requirements. However, rather than requiring that you hire a Structural Engineer to provide a
foundation plan, we will attach a detail of Garfield County's minimum foundation requirements to the approved set of
plans, and this detail is to be used in conjunction with the Manufacturer's foundation layout plan. Please refer to the
attached detail to see what these requirements include.
With this new information now in hand, we should be able to finalize our plan review and issue a building permit within
the next couple of days.
Thanks again for your assistance —

Hi Dave,
Thank you so much for your patience with us, this is all new to us. I asked about Snow/Wind Load Requirements and
they have told me they are in these plans below. Also thank you for updating me on the structural engineer we can start
looking into it. Would you guys happen to have anyone in mind?
Also please let me know if the documents below do not have the requirements.
Thank you,
Kenia
