l've reviewed the submitted blueprints and building permít application form for the Nixon resídence at 751
Van Dorn Rd and want to confirm I am correctly understanding the new scope.
Application form "describe work" states "removal of 2 gables on front elevation to two sheds"?
The Structural stamped pages S-1, S-2 and S-3 have red líne strike outs overthe exteríor building addition
scope for the pergola framing, roof over bbq and any exterior deck elements.
Submitted Architectural stamped page A4.L has a red lien strike out over the exterior pergola living space.
Oddo Parcel lmprovement Location certificate (i.e. site plan)shows a new "deck addition"
Architectural stamped page 42.0 shows new work to the lower deck structure
Architectural stamped page 42.04 shows expansion of the bbq area, deck and remodelíng of the interior
kitchen area.

Architectural stamped page A2.2 shows alterations to the master suite are and upper level plan (i.e. shed
dormers).
Architectural stamped pages indicate this is the Nixon Addition.
Architectural stämped cover sheet also shows a remodeled front entry roof and entry stairs
Questions:
1. Am I correct in understanding that all extensions and new additions beyond the existing building
foundation/ existing buílding footpr¡nt have been eliminated from the current scope?
a.No exterior pergola, deck or bbq work? Correct, no pergoal, deck expansion, or bbq work.
2. One shed dormer appears to be serving an existing master bathroom correct? And does not reflect
a change in use from the existing master bedroom / bathroom suite, correct? Correct, it will still be
used as the master bath.
3. The second shed dormer serves what habitable room use(s)? ls it another existing bedroom
space? Or an open to below living / dining / kitchen area? Or other use? Existing bedroom space.
4. Am I correct the amended work scope does not increase the existing hab¡table heated Iiving square
footage, and shall not project farther into yards?
5. Am I correct the front entry roof / entry stairs shall remain untouched? And no demolition and
replacement to that area? Correct, entry roof and stairs will remain untouched (no demo or
replacement|.

Question #4: there will be no added heated space.
All we are doing is removing gables and adding the sheds to make the rooms more useable, as the gables get
too low in the rake areas.
