OWTS Permit #: SEPT-7164
November 22, 2021
Joshua and Ashlie,
On November 22, 2021 we visited your cabin under construction along Garfield Creek
Road near New Castle in Garfield County, Colorado to observe the OWTS installation pursuant
to OWTS Permit # SEPT-7164. At the time of our site visit, the owner had installed the new
sewer line and cleanout adjacent to the residence, the new poly 1,000-gallon two-compartment
septic tank, the new effluent line, the distribution box, and the four chamber trenches. The septic
tank and distribution box were installed level with access brought to grade. An effluent filter had
been installed in the outlet tee of the septic tank. The chamber trenches were level, with 4-feet
between the trenches. Each trench consisted of 12 ARC 36 chambers per trench (48 total, 720
ft2 total STA). Additionally, inspection ports were present at each end of each trench. In our
opinion, this system was installed in general conformance with Garfield County OWTS
Regulations. No further action or review from Garfield County Environmental Health is required
regarding this permit.
Thank you,
