Subject: Foundation Design Parameters
This letter is to clarify the design parameters used for the foundation design for your residence in
the Antlers Ranch SuOO¡vis¡on. The elevation at the site of the residence is approximately 5,715
feet above sea level. Requiring the residence to be designed for a 40 psf snow load and a 36
inch frost depth.
For the foundation design, the truss loads were taken from the truss drawings supplied by
TRUSSFAB. The truss drawings state that the loads were calculated based on 40 psf snow load
a maximum wind speed of 115 mph in accordance with 2015 lnternational Building Code. The
notes on the architectural plans should be disregarded.
The foundation bearing capacity was limit to 1,250 psf, per the recommendations of the
geotechnical repoñ preþared by Capstone Enterprises West, LLC (Capstone) in June of 2020' A
f-rost depth of 36 incñes was iniorporated into the foundation details. Once again the notes on the
architectural plans should be disregarded.
Capstone betieves this foundation design complies with the requirements of Garfield County.
