We compared these proposed modifications against the structural drawings by Martin Design, lnc. dated Ot/L7 /03 attached to your email of Jan uary 17 ,2022. The proposed remodel is to reconfigure the master bedroom closet to accommodate an additional bedroom, noted as Bedroom 204, and bathroom noted as Bathroom 203. Windows W20L and W202 are noted to be enlarged to meet egress width requirements. Based on the existing roof framing noted on Sheet 55 of the above noted structural drawings, it appears that the proposed interior modifications will not require any associated structural modifications. Windows W20L and W202 shall have a (3) 2x8 minimum header supported on two trim studs and one king stud each end. Once demolition can begin, the interior wall and ceiling finishes shall be at least partially removed and existing relevant structure exposed to allow observation of the existing structural systems, as necessary. We shall be contacted to perform a site observation of the exposed elements to determine the structural implications of the proposed remodel and any necessary structural revisions beyond those noted above.
