The increased depths ranged from 3 to 4.5 feet in most cases. At the entry, the footing was dropped about 6 feet to where the resulting height was about l3 feet. Changing the vertical bars to #5's at l'-2" o.c. would be sufficient for the additional wall heights. At three locations (2 along Grid 5 and one at Grid G &.4) a main level beam was specified to be supported with a post against the concrete wall, bearing on the perimeter footing. At these locations, a beam pocket in the concrete wall shall be used to support the main level beams to avoid having the posts buried below grade.
