This was the most we could slide this house forward without creating separation issues to the house next door. Structural - As an additional layer of insurance, we had our structural plans peer reviewed by a third-party engineer and the following changes and recommendations were made to the foundation plan: o We added additional reinforcement to the top portion of the thickened slabs. o All slab turndowns were modified to span a L0' "wetted distance" o We added strip footings to eliminate areas of the slab that were not "box-like" o We added the following note to the plans: "The geotechnical engineer of record or their representative should evaluate the compaction of fill material and observe all footing excavations prior to concrete placement to evaluate bearing conditions." I have attached the updated Civil and Structural Plans for convenience. Please let me know what I need to do to update the permit set. Luke, We did an inspection for this project today. The exterior wall and roof overhang for Bedroom 3 requires the construction to meet Table R302.L(1) EXTERIOR WALLS for a distance that is less than 5 ft. to the property line. Please submit amended plans to reflect this requirement. Check with your architect for other options as well.
