The plans depict one full-sized walking man-door for an emergency escape and rescue opening by the building occupants, may we confirm the occupants from the central portion of the building and both "lean to" sections will continue to have direct access to this one man-door without traveling through intervening enclosed room spaces? I believe clarifícation and written answers to questions #1-9 will suffice without requiring you to prepare / resubmit revised blueprints. Answers can kindly be sent to myself (Colleen Wirth), at cwirth@sarfield-countv.com. As I believe the property currently is vacant without a finished residence - should you plan to use the pole barn for vehicular garage use(s) - then I highly encourage and recommend owners fill out and send me a copy of the "GARAGE AGREEMENT" (see PDF attachment). This will allow us to faírly process and perform the remaining zoning compliance review for the lot. FINALLY have one remaining question #L0 for the STRUCTURAL ENGINEER OF RECORD for the building project. lf you could kindly forward this email communícation to the applicable party. #10. TTE Drawing structural specifications project ELO6-22lists a flat roof snow Pf = 34 PSF. Given the SITE PLANS referenced elevation at6,1.42ft and GarCo Building Requirements 20L5 One Page (pdf document attached). Garfield County Building Dívision staff enforce a minimum Roof Snowload Pf measured from the ROOF, not GROUND at bare minimum 40 PSF. I need a statement from the design professional confirming minimum required snowload is met in the original building design (or provide REVISED BLUEPRINTS and FRAMING DETAILS). Documentation will allow me to sign off and place the response into the building file record. /ee 5no*/aa/'e7æ/rig Also for your general awareness and job site planning -- I was able to read through the 2015 general geotechnical report prepared by Huddleston Berry and based on findings in the report, Garfield County will require an "open hole soils report" by the Geotech be arranged for by the owners/ general contractor and to have copy of said report at the 2 job site during the first footing inspection. Garfield County Building lnspectors will need to read the open hole report when they arrive to do your footing inspection. Just wanted all to be aware, so there are no surprises. Thanks in advance for whatever assistance you can provide ín answering questions. I look forward to finishing this review on your behalf.
