Robert,
Thank you for working through the Notice of Violation that we issued to you
regarding the OWTS repair that occurred without a proper OWTS permit at 789 County
Road 202 located north of De Beque in Garfield County. We have reviewed the design and
designer’s acceptance letter regarding the system, and believe that the system was
installed in general conformance with the design and Garfield County OWTS Regulations.
Attached to this email, please find the signed OWTS Permit Application , which signifies
Garfield County Public Health’s approval of the proposed design. Normally we would also
issue an OWTS Permit to construct the system at the same time, but because the system is
already installed, we will not issue that permit. Also attached to this email, please find an
electronic copy of our final acceptance letter for the installed OWTS, signifying that we
believe the system was installed in general conformance with the design and Garfield
County OWTS Regulations. Garfield County no longer considers the property to be in
violation of the Article 10 of Title 25 or Garfield County OWTS Regulations in Resolution
2018-36. Please contact us with questions.
