Comments are as follows: 1. Please replace the 3-2x6 columns on the Grid H window wall with 3-5.5" LVL's and add the 435's, as specified in the drawings. 2. Crawl Space Pads: Pad#l: See Item 3 below. Pad#2: Appears adequate. Pad #3: Add A35's, beam to post on opposite sides (3 total) Pad#4: The end grain of the scab plate will wick moisture. Replace with treated material; add 435's from post to flat plate. Attach the treated plate to the concrete with (2) /+" expansion bolts (1.5" embedment). Pad#5: Appears adequate. Pad #6: Add another set of longer flat 2x6's near center of pad; attach beam to the flat plates with 435's, each side; attach the treated plates to the concrete with (2) Y+" expansion bolts (1.5" embedment). Pad#7: Photo not provided. Pad #8: Appears adequate. Pad#9: Assuming the flat plate is present and only covered in snow, the connection appears adequate, except, add 435's, scab plate to flat plate on one side. Pad #10: Appears adequate. Pad #ll - #14: Photos not provided. 3. Pad#l cold joint: Spread the point load out across the pad by adding two more sets of flat 2-2x6's (and O.S.B. shims). Provide a positive connection by attaching at least one set with (2) 1/4" expansion bolts (1.5" embedment) into the concrete and 435's from the beam to the flat 2x6's.
