OWTS Permit #: SEPT-7664
June 2, 2023
Kevin and Andrea,
On May 23, 2023, we visited the site of the residence under construction at 1002
Skipper Drive near Carbondale in Garfield County, Colorado to observe the OWTS installation
pursuant to OWTS Permit # SEPT-7664. At the time of our site visit, the contractor had installed
the new sewer lines and cleanouts adjacent to the residence and ADU, the new concrete 1,000-
gallon three-compartment septic tank with an effluent filter in the second compartment of the
tank and a high-head pump in the third chamber of the tank, the new pump line, and the four-
row gravelless chamber bed. The septic tank and manifold were installed level with access to
the tank brought to grade. The chambers in the bed were installed level, with 15 Quick4
chambers per row (60 total chambers, 720 ft2 total STA). Additionally, inspection ports were
present at each end of each row. In our opinion, this system was installed in general
conformance with Garfield County OWTS Regulations. Additionally, we received an installation
observation letter and As-Built drawing from the design engineer (dated May 30, 2023)
indicating “the system was installed in overall compliance with the septic system design.” No
further action or review from Garfield County Environmental Health is required regarding this
permit.
Thank you,
Edward R. “Ted” White, P.E.
