Your emailed responses will help us confirm which codes and regulations will pertain. QUESTIONS 1 What is the intended use of the new detached building? l.a. ls this a private use garage and/or agricultural equipment storage space intended for personal use by the property owner/ residential building occupants? YÆ 1.b. We presumed this is NOT intended as a commerciql business operation, place of employment for hired employees and/or visitÍng customers? Correct? Nê 1.c. Or other building use? Please describe. lVê 2. Will this building include any interior finished habitable living space(s)? lf so, please submlt two full size copies of a "floor plan" with room use(s) labeled and any interior non-bearing partition walls. 3 Type of SEPTIC and Type of BUILDING HEATING was left blank on the building application form. 3.a. Willthe work scope include rough-in for any floor drains, hot water heaters, hose bibs, potable water supply, dw4 gas piping or finished plumbing fixtures? lf so, pleqse describe or provide detail. 3.b. Willthis remain an unconditioned, unheated building? Yæ 3.c. Willthe owner or contractor install a boiler, infloor radiant heat tubing, wall- or ceiling- mounted garage heaters, wood burning pellet stove or sinúlar? ¡lr/Q 3.d. N a Sheet 5L of 59 includes under the column plan legend 'pella impervia' sliding windows. lf the building is to be heated now or in the future, do you know what energy U-factor value the Pella windows will have? Garfield County has recently adopted the 2018 lnternational Energy Conservat¡on Code for which our county is designated in "Climate Zone 5". Depending upon responses to 1-3 above, a fenestration U-factor of -0.30 or less moy apply. 5. Sheet 51 of 59 includes under the column plan legend another notation for 30 x30 attic access panels. 5.a. Willthe attic be accessible? N0 2 4. 5.b. W¡ll attic be used for storage of materials ? NO 5.c. Will any port¡on of the att¡c be used to house mechanical equipment? lf so, what will be the approximate passageway length between the access paneland equipment/ platform location? /JA At this time, no correction to submitted blueprint sheets is requested nor required. I would, however, like to receive a wr¡tten reply to quest¡ons 1 - 5, so I may include comments as part of the issued FIELD COPY' Email replies can be sent to me directly at cwirth@garfield-countv.com.
