DEFENSIBLE SPACE RECOMMENDATIONS PER COLORADO STATE FOREST SERVICE AND LOCAL FIRE

5) SEE SGM ENGTNEERED STAMpED DETATLS FOR SHALLOW FROST PROTECTED FOUNDATION, 51.0 &

ó) ALL HIGH STRENGTH BOLTING AND FIELD WELDING, IF ANY PERTAIN, REOUIRES SPECIAL
INSPECTOR. APPROVAL REPORT MAY BE REOUIRED AT FRAMING INSPECTION - AT THE DISCRETION
OF THE GARFIELD COUNTY BUILDING INSPECTOR BASED UPON FIELD OBSERVATION OF THE AS-
BUILT CONSTRUCTION.
7) THE BUILDING STRUCTURE HAS BEEN REVIEWED AS A PRIVATE USE DETACHED GARAGE ONLY
ACCESSORY TO THE RESIDENCE. FUTURE CHANGE(S) IN BUILDING OCCUPANCY OR USE, WILL
FIRST BE SUBJECT TO A NEW BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATION AND REVIEW FOR CON/PLIANCE WITH
ZONING REGULATIONS, LAND USE & BUILDING CODES IN EFFECT AT TIME OF FUTURE WORK.

be installed on building interiorl exterior?

1.b. Willthe building have any wall and/or roof /ceiling insulation
installed, if so, specify type of insulation material and proposed R-values.
Building is not insulated.
3..c. lf building is to insulated or heated and conditioned in the future, can
you confirm what energy U-factors for the proposed fenestrations (i.e.
any exterlor windows / doors)?

1.e. Willthe building have any future potable water supply with future
plumbing drain waste & vent connecting into an existing (or future) on-
site wastewater treatment system.

going to be erected / installed in unincorporated Garfield County at 4756
CR 309 outside Parachute, Colorado,
And further aware Garfield County has adopted the 20L5 lnternational
Residential Code, 2015 lnternational Building Code and 2018
lnternational Energy Conservation Code?
They are aware.

l'm reviewing submitted blueprints and application for the detached garage
outside Parachute and have some questions to clarify before your building
permit is issued:
QUESTIONS:
RE: plumbing mechanical electrical and building energy use(s|
1. Application form lists no new sewer service, AND no natural gas, propane
or electrical heating supplied to the proposed detached garage.

4. Are we correct in understanding the 600 sq ft detached garage will
rema¡n for private use only for the owners/ occupants of the main
residence? And not as a place of employment or for a commerc¡al
business use?
