OWTS Permit #: SEPT‐7743
November 9, 2023
Steve and Christine,
On September 26, 2023, we visited the residence under construction at 167 Shore Drive near Silt in Garfield
County, Colorado to observe the OWTS installation pursuant to OWTS Permit # SEPT‐7743. At the time of our site
visit, the contractor had installed the new cleanout adjacent to the residence, the new sewer line, the new
concrete 1,250‐gallon two‐compartment septic tank with an effluent filter in the outlet tee of the tank, the
effluent line, the distribution box, and the 625 ft2 Soil Treatment Area (STA). The STA consists of four trenches of
13 Infiltrator Quick4 chambers per trench (52 chambers total). The new tank and distribution box were installed
level with access to grade. Observation ports were installed at each end of each trench. Additionally, we received a
certification letter and as‐built drawing from the OWTS designer indicating the OWTS was generally installed
according to specifications. In our opinion, this system was installed in general conformance with Garfield County
OWTS Regulations. No further action or review from Garfield County Environmental Health is required regarding
this permit.
Thank you,
