The nnaing' of our observations and rpcommendations for the founddion desigl tre pr6ont€d in this rcpo; We previously conducted a subsoil strdy for desigt of foundations at the gite and p,resentd our findings in a report dafed Septerrba 7,2023, Projec't No' 23'7'440' fire proposed residelrce ie similar to that desribd in our previous rqort and will be above ou*trpu"" with a slabon-grade Earlge. Spread footings plaod on thc natural soilg and siTEA for an allowable bearing pressure of 1,500 psf were dcsigned for foundation zuppo,rt. At the time of our visit to the srte, the foundation excavationhad besfl crrt in one lwel from up to about 3y, to4 feet below the adjac€nt ground surfac€ on thc on the south side. Cut depth was round y, to I foot deep on the northwest side. The soilc exposed in the bottom of the exa'avation consisted of sandy silt which had b€n loosened by the excavation equipment. No free water was e,lrcountered in the excavation and thc eoils were etightly moigt. The soil conditions €rposcd in the excavation are consistsrt with thorc prcviously encountered on the site and zuitable for support of spread footings dcsignod for the recommended allowable bwingpressure of 1,500 psf with a risk of s€ttlement mainly if the bearing soils are wetted. Loose disturbed soils should be rernovd in the footing arcas and the exposed goils moist€(led andcornpaap4.. The recommendations submitt€d in this letter arc based on our obsenration of the soils exposed within the foundation cxcavation and thc prwious subsurface exploration atthe srte.
