The entirety of the shop will only be used for private use, accessory to main house 2. Shop isn't to be used as a commercial business or employment 3. Shop floor elevation is approximately 5775' 4. See attached updated report... 5. The shop will be heated with hydronic radiant heat, in combination with an electric boiler. The boiler will be mounted on the wall adjacent to powder bath with pumps and piping located underneath the boiler. Hot water for the powder bath will come via point of use water heater located under sink. Striving to put notes into your file that do not cause confusion for you and GarCo building inspectors during field inspections or at time of future property transfers. ri={ s 0$ ri a 1 QUESTIONS os follows: 1.Am I correct thre entirety of the 1,536 sq ft floor space - save for the powder bathroom - will be used as a PRIVATE USE ONLY garage and shop, interrded to be accessorl to the existing main residential building, with no finished residential living spaces or mixed uses within the building space? Cclrrect? ,A,m I correct the building is not intended as a commercial business or future place of employment? What is the approximater site elevation in feet at the garage shop site location? l'm concerned the COOL CALCS manualJ report for the heated garage may have an error. The report we received lists site elevation at 5,54B ft (wl"rich rnay match the Garfield County Airport location?) with a winter outdoor temperature of 5 degrees F? ,4.a. Garfield Co,unty's adlopted building resolution lists a minimum WINTER DESIGN temperature of rninus 2 degrees below :zero for job sites below 7,000 2. 3. 4. ft in elevation, and a minus 16 degrees below zero for job sites above 7,000 ft in elevation. Please confirm the actual site elevation and ask thre party who prepared the MANUAL J REPORT to supply an updated report with the actual elevation for 164 Scutter Ridge Rd and a corrected WlNTEll DESIGN temperature. 5. lNo mechanical roorn or equipment is labeled on the submitted garage / shop floor plans. Please describe type of mechanical heating equipmernt and proposed location(s) of heating / cooling and/or ventilation equipment planned for the garage shop space. 5.a lt would be helpful to understand if mechanical equipment / appliances will be placed on an elevation platfclrm above the garage floor? 5.b.lf radiant heating in garage floor slab is enved by radiant heat tubing and propane fuel source? 5.c. lf radiant hr-.ating in garage floor slab will function via electric heat mats? 5.d. lf radiant heating will be ceiling or wall mounted equipment? 5.e. Where fuel fired equipment is placed in the vehicular garage space, a bollard or protective barrier may be needed to protect equipment from unintended velricular impacts. Further heating, location details most helpfu to prepare for future building inspections. SAM - thanks for responding to questions 1- 5.e. above.
