Dear New Creation Church,
The plans have been reviewed to the currently adopted codes in Garfield County. lf an item is
missed during review, it is the applicant's obligation to comply with all adopted codes in Garfield
County. Below is a list of conditions to be addressed during construction. There is no response
needed, compliance will be required during field inspections. Documentation is to be provided
during construction, if needed. Please contact me if clarification is required.
Conditions to be addressed durins construction:
During the analysis of the Occupancy and Type of Construction based on the current code,
2015 lBC, this building can be of Type VB Construction when it's fully sprinkled. An A-3
Occupancy built to VB Construction can be 24,000 sq.ft.single story and 18,000 sq. ft. if
multi-story. The building is 11,893 sq. ft.

The approved plans are to be on-site for inspections.
Sanitary facilities are required to be provided for workers.
A list of required inspections will be attached to the plans. The State is to permit and
approve the electrical work.

Underground utility locates is the responsibility of the owner or contractor. 81 1 is the
Colorado Utility Locate Hot Line.
Electrical Code compliance will be determined based on field inspections performed by the
State Electrical Inspector, (303) 869-3458. Please have the inspector sign the building card
or provide written documentation of the inspections.
The Electrical Code requires a separate Electrical Permit for low voltage fire alarms that has
an alarm panel and send a notification to the Fire District when under alarm. A Rough-ln
inspection with the State Electrical lnspector is required (303) 869-3458. Please have the
inspector sign the building card or provide written documentation of the inspection.
The fire sprinkler and alarm are required to be inspected and approved by the Local Fire
Protection District. Please provide shop drawings to the Fire District for review and schedule
the inspections accordingly. Please have the Fire Marshal sign the inspection card when the
rough inspection is approved and when the final inspection is approved.
All accessible door hardware shall have a shape that is easy to grip, including pocket and
sliding doors. (ANSI 4117.1 - 404.2.6)
The details are indicating R-19 wall insulation, code minimum is R-20. Red lined on ther
plans.
The details are indicating an R-6 spray foam in the roof. Code minimum is an R-25 is
minimum to capture the dew point.
The new space will house more than 50 occupants, thus requiring the new Door D-01 to
have panic hardware.
The water shedding off the new roof is to be diverted away and not shed on the new
sidewalk. Gutter and divert away.
Exterior Emergency Lights should be powered by an interior Emergency Light, as the
batteries do not last outside.
