or an authorlzed agent. lf the slgnature below ls not that of the Owner, a separate letter of authorlty, signed by
the Owner, must be provided with this Appllcatlon.
lcral Acccss. A Building Permlt cannot be issued wlthout prodf of legal and adequate access to the property for
purposes of lnspections by the Building Division.
Othcr Permits. Multiple separate permlts may be required: (1) State Electrical Permit, (2) County OWTS permlt,
(3) another permit requircd for use on the property identifled above, e.g. State or County Hlghway/ Road Access
or a State Wastcwater Dischargc Permit.
Void Pcrmlt. A Bulldlng Permit becomes null and void lf the work authorized ls not commenced withln 180 days
of the date of lssuance and lf work ls suspended or abandoned for a period of 180 days after commencement.
I hereby certlry that I have read thls Application and that the lnformatlon contalned aborc ls true and correct. I
understand that the Bullding Dlvlsion accepts the Appllcation, along with thc plans and spcclfietlons and other data
submltted by me or on my behalf (submittals), based upon my certlflcatlon as to accuracy. Assuming completeness
of the submlttals and approval of thls Appllcatlon, a Buildlng Permlt wlll be lssued grantlng permisslon to me, as
ourner, to construct the structure(s) and facllltles dctalled on the submlttals revlewed by the Bullding Dlvision. ln
consideration of the issuancc of the Building Perml! I agree that I and my agents wlll comply wlth provislons of any
federal, state, or local law regulatlng the work and the Garfleld County Bulldlng Codg OWTS rqulations and
appllcable land use regulatlons (County Rcgulation(s)). All County development rcqulrlng a permit, except for
residential uses, are subject to Artlcle 7 of the Land Usc and Dwelopment Codc. I acknowledge that thc Bullding
Permlt may be suspended or revoked, upon notlcc from the County, if the location, construction or use of the
structure(sl and facility(ies), described above, are not ln compllancc wlth County Regulation(s) or any other
appllcable law.

further acknowledge that the lssuance of the Buildlng Permit does not prcvent thc Building Offlclal from: (1) rcquiring
the conection of enors in the submittals, lf any, dlscovered after lssuance; or (2) stopping constructlon or use of the
structure(s) or facillty(ies! if such is in violation of County Regulatlon(s) or any other applicable law. Review of thls
Appllcation, lncluding submittals, and inspectlons of the work by the Buildlng Dlvlslon do not constltute an
acceptance of responsiblllU or llablllU by the County of crrors, omlsslons, or dlscrepancies. As the Owncr, t

Depict and show outline the structure's building thermalenvelope. Outline should clearly shour portions
of the building to be conditioned inside the envelope (and label or olheruise idenliff any areas remaining
unconditioned outside this envelope)
Energy Compliance Plan should further include:

Manual J Report required for new building struclures and new equipment installations.
STRUCTURAL PIANS: Please provide the following information on the struduralplans.. SOILS REPORT - lf the projed is located in a subdivision with a final plat requiring site specific
soils investigation report or if Struc{ural plans make a specific reference to a soils report, then a
copy of the soils report is required to submit a building permit appllcation.o Design specifications to include roof and deck snow load, wind and seismic design and fiost
depth.. Foundation plan showing complete footing and foundation dimensions.. Footing and foundation details specifying reinforcement and referenced on plans.
o Framing plans for each floor level and roof. All beams, columns, joists, rafters and trusses
specified. Pre-manufaclured struciures rcquire the engineerc stamp, signature and date.
o Framing /connection details, braced wall lines, shear wall schedule, location and hold downs.
NOTE: lf any required information is missing, delays in issuing the permit are to be expected. lf
determined by the Building Officialthat additionalinformation is necessary to reviewthe application
and/or plans for compliance, the application may be placed on hold untilthe required information is
provirled. Work may not proceed without the issuance of a permit.
The Building Division will collect a Plan Review fee at time of application submittal. The permit fee, as
well as any Road lmpact fees will be collected when the permit is issued.
The permit application must be signed by the owner or by person having written authority ffom the owner
to act as their representative.
Building cannot be occupied until a Certificate of Occupancy (CO) is issued. Using the building without a
CO will be considered an illegal occupancy and may be grounds for vacating the premises. (FinaUCO
inspec{ion requirements will be attached to your approved field set of plans.)
