Garfield County Public Health (GCPH) visited the site of Nutrient Farms at 9108 County Road
335 near New Castle in Garfield County, Colorado to observe the OWTS installation pursuant to
OWTS Permit #’s SEPT-7966 and SEPT-8152 REVISED. At the time of our final site visit, the
contractor had installed the new sewer line and cleanout adjacent to the buildings, the new
concrete 1,500-gallon two-compartment septic tank with a pump in the second chamber, the
new pump line, the new Automatic Distributing Valve, and six gravelless chamber trenches. The
septic tank was installed level with access brought to grade. The trenches consisted of 26
Infiltrator Quick4 chambers per trench (156 total chambers, 1,872 ft2 total STA). The distribution
laterals ended with a valve accessible from grade to allow flushing of the laterals. Additionally,
inspection ports were present at each end of each trench. We received an as-built drawing of
the constructed system and a letter certifying that the system was constructed in general
conformance with the permitted design from the OWTS designer dated June 5, 2024. In our
opinion, this system was installed in general conformance with Garfield County OWTS
Regulations. No further action or review from Garfield County Environmental Health is required
regarding this permit.
