Services Performed:Over-excavation of soft subgrade materials for Northern apron.
Summary of Results:Observed Skyline Excavating remove soft subgrade materials to an approximate depth of 2’ at designated location in
attachments. Exposed subgrade materials nearest to structure still exhibited high saturation and provided little resistance to
probing. Skyline excavation is unable to remove additional material from these areas because doing so would cause the
subgrade elevation to drop below the adjacent structural footer. A 140N geo-textile fabric will be placed on top of the exposed
subgrade. Next, two feet of Class 6 ABC will then be placed in conjunction with Tensar Bx1100 geo-grid, as needed, back up to
top of subgrade elevation. Class 6 ABC will be moisture-conditioned and compacted to appropriate levels before being proof
rolled at a later date.
