Dear Mr. Posluszny,
8-26-2024
Permit#: BLRE-03-24-8574
As requested, structural steel special inspection was conducted per the
IBC 2015 Edition - Chapter 17: Structural Tests and Special Inspection and the
Garfield County requirements. I arrived on -site at 9:30 AM. I met with you to
review project requirements and material ready for inspection.
High strength bolt inspection was conducted on the main frame according
to the plans supplied by Great Western Buildings. I observed the bolts to be 5/8"
ASTM A325 plain body bolts with no washers per the manufacturers written
instructions. All main frame bolts were checked for tightness with a wrench. I
observed all faying surfaces to be in close and correct contact. Upon completion,
I observed all bolts to be in compliance with project specifications and the
inspection criteria of the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and the
Research Council on Structural Connections (RCSC).
Anchor bolt inspection was conducted on the main frame according to the
plans supplied by Great Western Buildings. All anchor bolts were checked for
tightness with a wrench. Upon completion, I observed all anchor bolts to be in
compliance with project specifications.
This final report concludes the steel erection phase of this project.
