l'm not sure what the buitding side wittwant to see. We don't enforce covenants or other private agreements but
do tike to see that you are working with your HOA. The ptanning preapptication is separate from the buitding permit
side. You can reach out to Teresa for general guidance on the buitding permit process. l've atso cc'ed John Ptano,
the buitding officiat, so he is in the toop.

Thank you for your response. As I understand it, the county has nothing to say about the buitding
envetope and it is just between me and the HOA. Woul.d a letter from the HOA approving the
construction ptan suffice for acquiring a buitding permit?
lf so ls this pre-apptication process used to appty for a buitding permit? lf not, what do I need to do to get
a buitding permit for the project?

documents that I have access to. Since High Aspen Ranch is made of exempt 35-Acre parcets, it did not
go through County subdivision review. The recorded document creating the buitding envetope was not
signed by the Chairman or subject to said subdivision reviews, so I have no additionat information on
the purpose the envetopes. The Countywoutd not be part of the process to amended the envetope's
boundaries, so you shoul,d reach out to your HOA to determine what process they woutd have you go
through and the requirements for a new recorded map of the property.
You mentioned adding sotar to the garage also and I just wanted to tet you know that we do require land
use change permits for sotar systems that are rated over 15 kW. We are proposing an amendment to our
code to change that to 2,500 sq ft in size. lf you think your system wil,l, exceed those [imits, ptease reach
out to me and we't[ do a preapptication for that.

Thanks for getting back to me. I Looked into changing the buitding envetope in June and was informed by
Phitip Barry that the County had no part in the reviewing the buitding envetopes, onty our HOA (see
snippet betow). Our HOA Board has the authority to waive buitding envetope restrictions and has done
so. I witl forward Phitip Berry's email and the HOA approval emait.
Let me know if this is sufficient and if not, what etse you need from me
