Comments Tests are "Direct Transmission" (Method A) unless probe depth is noted as "Backscatter". Gauge calibration data on file with the testing agency. 4: As requested, a site visit was made to observe placement and compaction of the soils being utilized to achieve proposed footing elevation. The contractor is moisture conditioning the previously excavated soils and is placing and compacting the soils in 8" to 10" lifts. Compaction is being achieved with a walk-behind vibratory sheeps foot compactor. Results of density testing performed today at the locations indicated met project specifications. The contractor was notified of our observations and density test results. Future site visits will be scheduled with our office if needed. This report presents opinions formed as a result of our observations of fill placement and the test results shown above. Test data are not the sole basis for opinions whether the fill meets project specifications. The contractor is responsible to apply necessary compaction effort and moisture to comply with project specifications. Our test results, observations and opinions do not constitute acceptance of the work.
