Hi Coleen,
We are hoping to amend the plans that I turned in into an ADU( plans attached) once we get approved for hauling
water.
I would like to get the foundation in and frame through the winter. I will answer your questions as though
the ADU will be added in the future.
Answers to your questions:
j.. I won't get the floor poured this winter, so the in floor radiant tubing won't be addressed untilthe
water approval. lt will be electric only
a. Wall/ceiling mounted heater
b. No heat at this time
c. Unheated until approved for water
2.
a. I will make this a fire resistive assembly. lt won't take place until water is approved and then I can do
rough in work in the ceiling and walls.

c. I will install a 20 minute door at the bottom of the stairs for the future ADU
3. Yes, that is correct. Once approved for water, I will begin the OWTS process
a. Correct, I will need to sleeve under the footings for future sewer and water lines, but that is it for rough-
ins

Before I begin stamping and red[ining the finished FIELD COPY of ptans, I want to cl.arify a few items
under the work scope to ensure I review referencing correct sections of code:
REQUESTING A WRITTEN RESPONSE FROM THE PROPERW OWNER(S) AS FOLLOWS:
1. The buitding appl.ication form states type of buitding heat = "e[ectric", is that correct?
1.a. wil,l. the main [eve[ garage shop have etectricaI heat mats, electrical baseboard heating, roof
or ground mounted sotar arrays, walt / ceil,ing mounted heaters or other?
1.b. witt the second levet'storage'area accessed by interior stairway be heated as wett?
1 .c. witt the second story [eve[ of structure remain unheated?
2. Architecturatsheet A2 shows 5/8 type x drywatt on garage ceiting area.
2.a. Do you intend there to be a (fire-resistive assembty) or occupancy separation between the
enctosed garage and the hatt / stairway / storage space above it?
2.b. Or is the storage above intended to be a continuation of the garage occupancy on main levet?
