RE: Micropile Testing Results
It has been a pleasure working with you on the micropiles associated with the foundation for the
addition at 1003 Cattle Creek Ridge Rd. Rock Solid Solutions (RSS) installed 24 plles ranging in
length from 30 to 40 feet. In order to assess the performance of the micropiles, RSS conducted two
proof tests on randomiy selected micropiles on October 11,2023. Enclosed with this letter are the
results of the testing performed, demonstrating that the piles are capable of supporting the required
design loads.
It is essential that the micropile foundation system is discussed with the curent and all future
homeowners. Xeriscaping is highly recolnmended and the void space between the soil surface and
the concrete footer must be maintained over the lif-e of the foundation (a minimum 4-inch void
form was specified in the soils report). Additionally, above-ground downspout extensions are
recommended because underground downspout extensions do not allow for monitoring of the
integrity of the pipe.
